About us

inVisua was founded by Matthijs Keuper.  Prior to inVisua, Matthijs has worked over 13 years in the LED industry, both at Philips Lighting and at Lumileds. He was one of the founding members of Lumileds in the Netherlands in early 1997, and has developed many products using high-power LEDs.  He designed the optics for the very first traffic light using high-power LEDs, a design which has become so popular that it is seen all over the world. After Lumileds expanded the joint venture (Agilent and Philips) in 1999, Matthijs moved to the head office in San Jose, USA to strengthen the New Business Development team. In this role, he led teams to design and demonstrate the first ever pocket projector and rear-projection TV using high-power LEDs.  After leading the team for the product release of the TFCC Rebel devices, he moved back to the Netherlands in 2007 to join the Solid State Lighting Business Unit of Philips Lighting. There, he was responsible for the system architecture and technical strategy of the Fortimo Downlight module, which was introduced at by Philips in 2008.

Matthijs holds over 20 issued patents with several pending.  He lives in Geldrop, the Netherlands with his wife and three sons.
